A career road well traveled.
From my roots in graphic design and advertising, to honing my skills in UX and product design, it’s been a long, winding and interesting road that’s made me the well-rounded design leader that I am today. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
2021 - Present
Leading the UX practice for a global team.
Nowadays, I lead the UX practice for a team of 30+ UX designers across the globe, contributing to process, innovation, culture, and scaling. In addition to leadership and management duties, I also assist in leading the development of proprietary accelerator products that offer brands turnkey commerce solutions. An unabashed player-coach, I’ll still roll up my sleeves and work alongside the team, using strategy, design and technology to create incredible experiences that captivate audiences, convert browsers to buyers, and keep them coming back for more.
2019-2021
Managing a team, and a portfolio of client work
In my role as director, I managed and led a team of UX designers on projects that included eCommerce site redesigns, innovative product creation, and digital strategy engagements. COVID was no match for my team; our collaboration and drive increased as we leaned hard into cloud-based design tools, cranking out amazing experiences without missing a beat. I also continued to lead project work and represented the UX discipline for new business opportunities.
2014-2018
Client-facing UX Lead across multiple engagement
As a hands-on, client facing UX design lead, I created a wide variety of digital experiences and products for web and iOS. I participated in all stages of the project lifecycle, leading discovery workshops, presenting designs, and collaborating with developers. I also led multiple user testing initiatives, using interactive prototypes to gather feedback from real customers, and used that data to make informed, impactful design decisions.

Design is a journey, not just a destination. Outcomes and deadlines matter, but they aren’t the only criteria for measuring success. The process is just as important as the product. I’m constantly looking for new ways to improve collaboration and efficiency in the design creation process.

If I see a mess, I am compelled to clean it up. I satisfy my inner Marie Kondo by applying this desire for organization to everything I do at work. From streamlined taxonomies to design file setup, folder structures to color-coded sprint schedules, I keep it tidy (and make sure it sparks joy.)
-
Zoom in. Zoom out. All day. The role of director requires the ability find the appropriate vantage point across multiple different projects. I’m able to find the sweet spot between birds-eye strategic perspective, and granular subject matter expert, to maximize the impact of my creative direction.

Copywriting is designing with words. I fell in love with writing during my advertising days. I understand the powerful combination of words + design, and I believe that writing is a critical part of UX. I’ll pine over a headline or CTA microcopy just the same, and I avoid “Lorem ipsum” at all costs.

Some folks claim to be a problem solvers, when in reality, they’re just problem identifiers. From design to management, when I’m faced with a challenge, I come armed with solutions. I enjoy taking extra steps to understand the intricacies of a problem in order to effectively solve it.
